Appassionato Mk.III

Luas Appassionato Mk.III is a big step ahead in the world market of recommanded CD-players with its new designed 6- tubes single ended Class A outputstage.
One of its specialities is, that there are not used any semiconductors in the signal path. Directly from D/A- converter output, the output amplifier, as same as the analogue part of the sampling filter is designed completly in S.R.P.P.- tube technology. True to its tradition of outstanding quality, Lua creats different remarkable CD players in the past, as for example the
Cantilena Mk.II. This well noticed model enjoyed the best test results in the market with many hundreds being sold. But Lua wanted more. The experience with the earlier CD-players gave our engineers the chance to
create a much better version named Appassionato Mk.III. This Appassionato Mk.III was to embody the best possible sound reproduction and so a well-known Crystal Clear D/A converter was integrated.
For the transport mechanism, Lua selected a Philips- version , which delivers the best technical results at a modest price. A big breakthrough was the newly designed 6- tube single ended triode Class A output section with an output impedance of only 180 Ohms. And speaking of outputs,
a speciality of all LUA CD- players is the provision of two outputs instead of one.
The second output can drive a separate headphone- amplifier without
use of the main amplifier. This is also interesting for dealers, enabling connection to two different amplifiers allowing their sound quality to easily be compared using a single CD player as source. Also sonic comparisons
between two different brands of RCA interlinks (Cinch cables) can in the same way be easily made by connecting them to two different high level inputs of your amplifier, especially if it is equipped with a remote
controlled channel switching facility.
